Do you haggle
There was an item on Breakfast TV this morning on haggling, its common place to haggle abroad think we will all have done it at one time or another, but do you do it here on the high street. a few years ago Dom Littlewood did a program on BBC about high street haggling and it was surprising just what he got knocked off prices for people. I must say I always tried it on, but these days with buying most of my stuff either on line or over the phone it is harder, but the last time I bought a tv I got a blue ray DVD player and a 5 year extended warranty thrown in

Re: Do you haggle
I just did when ordering a wheel bearing for my car. I could have got it online cheaper but they were to cheap for what you are getting so decided to go to the local lad I trust to supply decent parts. After all it holds the wheel on the car and the original one is absolutely shot at after only 235,000 miles :D

Re: Do you haggle
Little tip.
Any traders that indulge in this practice, more commonly found in the souk, have already factored a haggled discount into their prices. Most people are a bit thick, when it comes to discounts. Stick a red 'Sale' sign on any old crud and they'll buy it, because it's a 'bargain'. You should always ask yourself if something's worth the price being asked, to you. If it is, fine, buy it. If it isn't, walk on buy. Just because something is available for purchase, at a supposedly discounted price, doesn't necessarily mean it's a bargain. Very rarely do you get owt for nowt. |

Asda must be a house of ill repute then because they say you can take the food back if your not 100% satisfied with it and often have free tasters in store :D |

Which makes it even more degrading, when the price asked in Glasgow was a tenner. |
