Re: Power of Attorney
As people have said the banking authority documents need to be completed whilst the person if of sound mental faculties.
The people from the bank visited ma and talked her through what was available, with me present, and then when she chose the appropriate option, we both signed the forms and that was it. Ma can revoke this at any time in the future if she had any concerns about what I was doing.....or if she became more able to deal with her finances. While it isn't power of attorney, it does what my mum wants it to do....and that is, be able to deal with her bills and her banking requirements. |
Re: Power of Attorney
Speaking as someone who is already using a second one----simply download the forms from the Office of Protection and fill them in getting all necesary signatures---absolute doddle to do and get it registered. Cost to register not a lot and can be reimbursed from donors account.
Do feel free to question me on any aspect. You do not need a solicitor. When operating the LPA do keep full records. |
