Ever dreamt of an alarm?
Ever dreamt of an alarm?
This is my experience from this morning. The Restless Paranoid Android: Alarms...Dreams...Alarms Cut it short if you don't want to read the story. I dreamt that an alarm was going off and I slept through my alarm till the next one went off on my phone 10 mins later. I decided to write the dream down before I forgot it. Now I have to get a taxi to work! Question: anybody know anything about this kind of behaviour. When I awoke I was numb down the left side. Could it be linked to my current sickness. I feel so tired now. |
Re: Ever dreamt of an alarm?
It usually means something is causing you great concern (I googled it)

Re: Ever dreamt of an alarm?
Dreaming is something everybody does, I think Rob is probably right about a link to an ongoing as Shaz has said. I quite often dream and can't remember what about, I know I've been dreaming but can't grasp what it was about. Other dreams are quite clear though usually things that happened long ago and people being portrayed as they appeared then, very strange

Re: Ever dreamt of an alarm?
This has happened to me many times!
I find It's usually happened when I have been chronically over-tired. Take consolation that you didn't dream you were on the toilet :D |

Re: Ever dreamt of an alarm?
Yes, I have Rob...quite a few times.
When I was nursing, and after a particularly hectic shift, where we were extremely busy. I went to bed(I was on nights at the time) and dreamed I was working all the time I was asleep.......I dreamed that a patient was using the call buzzer incessantly......I had told her 'I'm coming', but the buzzing continued. I sat bolt upright in bed and shouted 'if you don't get your finger off that buzzer, I will disconnect it from the wall'...this shouting woke me up....... it was the clock going off to tell me it was time to get up. I felt very tired and more than a bit daft. |

Did anybody hear you? :D I hate nights like that though-when you dream about work, you wake up feeling as if you've not had any sleep! Quote:
I often dream whilst still half awake as well. And sometimes it happens and I can't figure out if I've actually been actually asleep or not! The other half snores when he's not asleep-which I think's quite funny. If he's just dropping to sleep he snores then we'll have a fully involved conversation then he'll snore again... |
Re: Ever dreamt of an alarm?
Yes Sugarmouse, my husband was on nights as well, so I woke him up too.
He thought it was very funny. |

Well. Finally the day has come for my "general medicine" appointment @ Nelson hospital. This time I never received a letter saying the appointment was cancelled.... |
Re: Ever dreamt of an alarm?
Last night I wad dreaming about a big volcano that was due to erupt imminently, and I was trying to find the best position on a nearby Inca pyramid temple to get some photos of it while not being caught in the blast.
It turned out to be really easy to interpret. When I woke up, I needed a massive fart. I didn't photograph it though. |

Re: Ever dreamt of an alarm?
I sleep more than most people and enjoy dreaming.
When you have lucid dreams you can control what happens. Some say that lucid dreams are the same as out of body experiences. I am not convinced that is so, but do enjoy doing things in dreams that age and infirmity prevent me from doing when awake. |

Re: Ever dreamt of an alarm?
Margaret, like you, I enjoy dreaming...I have the most vivid and colourful dreams...and what is more, I remember them most of the time.
I have solved problems in dreams......himself feels like he has had a bad nights sleep if he remembers dreaming. I still dream about being at work, despite having been retired for over ten years. |
