Pak Choi

What exactly is it?

Should it be eaten raw or cooked?

Should we actually have a cookery/recipe section?

I don't know, but there were two of this vegetable on sale for 41p so I bought it, chopped it into smaller pieces in a similar manner as you would a leek.

Mixed it with a mild melted cheese and some king prawns, well I enjoyed it, but I still don't know what it is.

It's a kind of cabbage Less, I bought some too, thanks for reminding me, it's languishing in the bottom of the fridge. I was going to stirfry it, sounds like that's what you did too, bet it was delicious, pity the other half doesn't like prawns!

Think you could probably eat it raw in a salad too.

Shred it like Spring Greens, but we discard the thicker part of the central stems and then use in a stir-fry. If you google Pak Choi and also Bok Choi you will get some recipes.

BBC News - China: 'Pickle index' tracks migrant workers

MargaretR has been preoccupied with her visiting cats of late but this piece on the BBC web will get her juices flowing (metaphorically of course) ;)

What a good idea less
although a site search or just looking in the community section would reveal we have had a cookery/recipe section for years:p

Oh Dear!

Almost the same recipe, except, I got some mixed veg for a stir fry, only problem is, it had shredded beetroot, not a problem in a salad but, once cooked how come it looks as if I'm eating raw meat?
