Rovers pin badges needed for a funeral

This is going to sound a bit mad but i need to buy around 50 Blackburn Rovers metal pin badges.....my brothers father in law is terminally ill with a blood clot on his brain, he has a week at the most to live, my sister in law wants to buy some badges to give to friends and family at his funeral (as a reminder of him)he was Rovers through and through, the prices in the rovers shop are a bit pricey, can anyone recommend anywhere i can buy some in bulk please?

Shaz....would it be worth getting in touch with BRFC and telling them the story of what you want and why you want them.....seeing if they can do you a deal?
It would be good public relations for them.
You have nothing to lose by asking.

I think that`s a good idea, maybe even one of the local born players like Daivd Dunn if he`s on twitter or facebook.

That is a good idea too.
David Dunn is a really nice man...and if anyone can help I am sure he could(and probably would).

Shaz...you need to speak to a human being...someone with feelings and compassion.
Phone the club tomorrow...or better still if you could make an appointment to meet someone at the club to put you case.

Please convey my sincere condolences to your brother for his loss......and to you also Shaz, because I know it is hard when someone you care about is grieving.

You could also contact the e-bay seller to see what kind of deal he could cut you......some will do deals...some won't.

I'm afraid not. I have details of where to have them made but I've just ordered some for Stanley the other day and it's 3 weeks production time.

For 50 of them the price would probably be the same to have them made as the original link, that's of course if somebody will make them because of copyright issues.

I would also contact the ebay seller of the £1.99 badge and see what they would sell 50 at.

Flashy, I don't know you or your family but may I ask if you have managed to get any badges upto now and do you still want to go ahead with your plan?
I am prepared to help out with the eBay seller.
I had a lot of support from Accy web when my dear wife passed away and would love to return the kind gestures by helping another member.
We will have to be quick if the gentleman has already passed on.

Pm me more info.

aww thankyou very much Gremlin, how absolutely fantastic of you, my sister in law was too upset to talk to about it yesterday but i mentioned to my brother about getting normal badges instead (because of the price of the metal ones) he said he would get back to me. I couldnt possibly accept your generosity, please please save it for an accywebber who will need it more, please dont take it the wrong way

No lass, I don't take it the wrong way at all, i understand.
Your thoughts of how to remember the deceased were unusual and I was just prepared to try to help.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Sorry to hear the sad news, time is now the problem for most solutions, it would be better to contact the club as they will have the numbers required, and contacting the newspapers might give the publicity that could bring forward a solution.

I'm surprised the papers haven't already picked up on the story, they often read AccyWeb to find out what is going on.:D

I do hope the club will be able to help out Shaz it would be a nice gesture from them.:)

Agreed it would be a good "Feel Good" story, however there would have to be an immediate responce as the average time to carry out a funeral from the date of death is around a week. This wont give time for it to build up any momentum and the papers take an interest. So I would think the club direct would be the best bet, and the publicity would happen after the event.
