Trees on the Coppice.

Is it possible that the view from the top of the Coppice will be allowed to go if the trees growing around the place are not cut back? Can't imagine that happening!:confused::confused:

Yes I agree and they are not very attractive trees are they?

There certainly needs to be some thinning out of these trees.

There has been a lot of money spent on the Coppice area over the last few years including tree management work.

I doubt that "providing a view of Accy" is high on the agenda for them.

Maybe they think that Accrington should be hidden from view.
Maybe the trees are about the best thing there is in Accrington.

Re: Trees on the Coppice.

I went up there earlier today, had a look out from my favourite viewing point and do you know?
I couldn't see the trees for the wood.

Maybe it's time we had a mini forest fire?

Now, don't laugh, There used to be a headache Called the Con Club, nothing could be done with that but once it was set afire demolition could go ahead, surely setting fire to wood is easier?

Good luck with that, if you can prise 'em off the couch & away from the stupid box & their daily fix of "cake dancing", "X talentless" and the like, you'd not get them past the Ale house or McFried chicken!

We could all sit on our backsides and do nothing but some people are busy helping the council raise money to improve our areas. Have you been up and seen the new paths that have encouraged a lot more people to use the area?

Good paths all the way up. Prospects used to have one of LCC's off road type mobility scooters you could borrow but I think they have taken it back because I've not seen it there for ages now

I noticed that the thread starter lives in st annes, the question I would ask him is, has he been up recently and what are his opinions of the new access points.
