Shopping in Leeds

Thinking of catching the train tomorrow to Leeds to spend the day shopping. Does anyone know if the train station is near the shops. Never been to Leeds so haven't got a clue where anything is, and don't want to spend ages looking for the centre once i have got off the train.

Thanks

Re: Shopping in Leeds

When you arrive at Leeds train station, look for the public information office within the station building. They will be able to furnish you with a map of the city centre.

When you exit the station, turn left and walk up the hill, this will lead you to the Headrow, which is one of the main shopping areas. As far as I'm aware, there isn't an indoor shopping centre, like Manchester's Arndale, but there are some Victorian shopping arcades.
