Can anyone tell me where/what this is please?
 

Coming back on the bus from Blackburn today and noticed what look like lots of archways/caves next to the canal, just before you go under the bridge. I just wondered if anyone knew what they are, as I have no idea. Thanks.:)

They are the fairy caves! coke ovens, there is a post on them I think it was Wingy that started it

Thanks people. I really am going to have to get out and see more of this pleasanter (is that a word?) of Accrington. I haven't even been up to the top of the Coppice yet and I have lived here for 6 years! I mean the Coppice should be a piece of cake compared to the Tower walk.:)

back from where. what route.. stupid question as it stands

And if the karma snaffler had used their brain properly they would have realised that I already said that I was returning from Blackburn, and as far as I am aware theres only one route that goes past the canal and the fairy caves. So I say stupid reply "as it stands" to you!

They were also full of rubbish including empty beer cans etc last time we were round there.
