Can you help me find the Haworth Family?

Hi there,

I've been looking for the Haworth's for several years off and on without any success, but since I found an old letter with an address I did an internet search and your website popped up so I am hoping that you can maybe help.

The Haworth's moved out to Australia back in the early 1970's but moved back to their homeland after Patricia Haworth become ill. We lost contact unfortunately and this is the only address that I still have:

9 Bak Avenue
Rising Bridge BB52SP
Accrington
Lancashire, England

The post mark on the letter is 1976, so they may have moved away by now.

The names of those who came out to Australia (Melbourne), are:

Derrick
Patricia (Pat), and
Lorraine

They had an elder son who was serving in the British Army at the time and didn't make the trip. His name if I recall was Glen (or Glenn).

The Haworth's were terrific family friends, very much missed when they travelled home for the last time and it would be great to be in contact once again to let them know how things are down here.

Hope to hear from you all soon, kindest regards,

Wayne
(son of Snowy)

Might want to go to the "Introduce Yourself" bit, you might get more luck there!

There was a Jimmy Haworth in the '50s, played cricket for Church and had a plumbing business at the top of Lonsdale St just before the Spring Hill Club
