Bob

Jimmy Dobson was my 2nd cousin - I have sent you a private mail

You are correct about him being raised by the Finn family in Nelson St & him emigrating to Canada

Regards

If Colin Finn is the one living in Rishton and his father had a shop on Blackburn Road, which was army surplus and called 'Cumanavaluk' during the war and just after, then maybe we are related as Colin Finn is my second cousin.

He was brought up on Dunnyshop Avenue , Fern Gore , with several brothers and sisters .

His dad Jack was a very keen bowler .

There was an Anthony (Tony) Finn who attended Woodnook School in the 1950s, but I don't know where he lived. He was a tall lad who later joined the TA at Church. Don't know how much Irish was in his family but he often referred to Finn McCool...

If at Woodnook School, he is a likely candidate. I have not yet pursued these leads - too busy with other matters.
