I lost my mother when I was 19, never having known my father at all.

You never stop missing them, and wishing they could be around to cheer the successes and comfort the bog-ups, but a loved parent is never lost to us. They live on within us, in our memories, and in the wisdom and love they gave to us.

I know that sometimes, talking to my children, I realise that I can hear my mother ...
