Truchanovich-Family

I'm from Belarus. Unfortunately, my English
not very good, but I'll being trying to write about my purposes of the
letter. After The II warld war a brother of my grandfa emigrate to
England. He was born in village Tury (Poland), but in 1939 year this
place come to USSR. His last place of living was Accrington.

His name was Mr. Daniil Truchanowicz. I have his last adress.
But last letters were in the begining of 1980s. After this time we
didn't resive any cards. I think the relative was died, but it might
still living his 4 daugters. One of them was Tatiana by name, the other - Iony (don't know the transcription in English).

Would you help me in my searching the daughters of my relative? A year
before we'd founded a grave of Daniil's brother, my grandfa in
Germany.

Re: Truchanovich-Family

Hello Rina, your grandfathers brother Danial married Patricia Margaret Easter in 1947. Their four daughters were Aniela Regina born 1948 in Blackburn, Tanya Mary born 1950 in Blackburn, Yvonne Anna born 1951 in Accrington and Vanessa Julia born 1956 in Accrington. Sorry I can't find anything else on them in Accrington. Maybe someone on here went to school with them in the 1960-70 era locally, I will keep checking and will get back to you if I find anything. Regards, Bryan.

My brother Peter was a couple of years older than Tanya, but I remember him having a serious crush on her........But I don't know her whereabouts now.........and my brother went to Hull to work and then migrated to Sydney, so I doubt that he would be able to throw any light on the subject

Yvonne Truchanovich - an absolute stunner...admired, sadly, from afar by me as a tongue-tied youth! ;)

That is sad Wyn, I'm guessing that would be in the mid 60s and with no Stanley to take her to you never had a chance. {grin**

It might have been that or then again it might have been that she was an extremely attractive blonde and I was a four-eyed nerd! ;)

Marilyn did have a fling with Einstein, so maybe you abandoned hope too easily.:)

Sadly, it was always the same, Margaret. The girl mentioned in post 65 below (who was actually called Christina now the mists of my memory clear) had Polish parents as well... ;)

Tanya Truchanowicz started at Accrington High School in 1961, the year after me. I've tried searching on "Friends Reunited" but her name doesn't come up.

It's so ineresting that so many people knew my realatives, bu we don't know anything about them - in the times of USSR it was dangerous to ask anything in the letters. I have fotos from Yvonne's wedding in the middle of 70s. I have the last adress of my relatives in Accrington - 13 Higher Antley str. Accrington BB5 OSN Lancs England. may be it help you in the searching

RinaBelarus, I feel so sorry that we haven't been able to give you any information about your relatives.
Despite the fact that many of us remember the girls in the family, none of us know where they are right now.

I would have hoped that someone who knew them, and more importantly, their whereabouts, would have seen this post.

I hope that sometime in the future you get the information that you are looking for. Good Luck.

An update, received an e-mail from Venessa today, she just returned from Belarus, went with her sister and son, was a very emotional visit, met her one surviving aunt, visited her fathers family home and graves of many relatives, came home with family heirloom and family tree and lots of memories. Well done Accy web without you this wouldn't have happened.

Re: Truchanovich-Family

I was going to write there but you've just known everything. We met on the 4th of Augast in Minsk then traveled to my naitive town & later went to the Place of birth Vanessa's Dad. They visited their cousin who lives in the nailive house of their grandparents now. Unfortunatly my GranMa (their cousin too) died before their visit.

This visit was very emotional for us too.

Yvonne disappeared somewhere in Cyprus I believe. Her sister lives in Fairfield Street. Last I heard she was presumed deceased. Very sad!

ocuana1939 13-11-2012 18:50

Re: Truchanovich-Family

I knew the family and Yvonne worked with my sister in one of the town centre cafe's. I got to know all the girls and one of the sisters is still living in an area off Sandy Lane.

I was told by the older daughter that Yvonne married and moved to Darwen.

Yvonne went on holiday to either Rhodes or Cyprus some years ago and went missing during the holiday. To my knowledge she was never located and I believe that she is now classed as deceased.

There were reports in the newspapers for a while so some information may be available through either the Telegraph or Observer.

Very sad.
