Hi there Accylad I dont know any of the other lads but you are looking for the same person that I have been looking for..for years now pin chi yip I lost touch with him in 1984 he went living and working down London somewhere..he went working for the toy makers Mattel and the last time I saw him he was bringing in boxes after boxes of toys for my girls for christmas..they are 27 and 24 now LOL..but I would love to find him again he was a good mate and since then I have have moved house..areas and changed my name x2 so he would never find me..have you got the spelling of the name right I knew him as Ping Sum yip but I only heard his name I never saw it wrote down..Linda

Hi . Ping sum Yip used to live at 21 walter street accy He was a year above me and a good friend of mine and my elder brother who used to share the house with him. I met him on once in london china town a few years ago , I will ask my brother and see if he know his where abouts. Pin Chi yip used to live in burnley his family had a takeaway and had a sister who left hollins in 77.

Remember a Wendy Dickinson left about 1979´, and was slightly handicapped.Had a big mouth as well

Thought some of you might be interested to know that Deborah Newsham is organising a reunion for the Hollins people that left 1981-1985. Its on 14th November at Canine Club, tickets are £5, if anybody wants more details I have got her address.

Well those after the '76 group would have been starting at Hollins as I had left so cant help but if anyone from '68-'72 looking let me know (makes you about 48-49 depending on when birthday is)

My Mum went to Hollins she left in '73. My Uncle David and Auntie Sharon also went they left in '79 (I think) and '81

Gary Lushman still lives in the area;Church I think.He was a security guard in the Arndale Centre for a few years,think his missus is in the Police.

I was at Hollins and left in '79. CarolF did you by any chance get stood on by a horse called blaze?

:) yes i did debbie i was walkiing him back down the coppice before all the trees were there and i stumbled and he walked over my back i had hoof marks on my back for months! it could have been alot worse though i managed to get myself to the bowling green were i realised that my white t-shirt had turned red with blood. how did you know about it?

You showed them to us Carol. I was mates with Lesley Shackelton at the time or was it Janet Hartley? Can't quite remember but I do remember your tshirt being full of blood and the hoof print in your back.

hiya debbie, i cant remember you for the life in me but i used to go around with lesley too we used to go horse riding together did you have your own horse? do you remember lesleys horse called whiskey? she also had a shetland called coffee that was as vicious as any pitbull terrier! haha do you remember blaze? he was a gorgeous chestnut with a white flash on his nose hence the name but he had a mind of his own and when he decided to go he just went haha :) this was how i ended up with the hoof marks on my back do you still see anything of lesley? i dont know the other person you talked about i saw lesley about ten years ago and she hadn't changed a bit.

carole i do remember you and joanne dont think i was in same form but i think we were in same lessons. Do you remember andrea plummer and suzanne clark and i have got lots more names from those years.

didnt go hollins m'self but knew a few who did. Mick McIntyre, john duxbury,ste whelan,andrew sanderson,stuart bond,phil crossley,bev rushton ,tricia cobb,kim wilson,diane hastewell, to name a few.Lived in bash,couldnt avoid them.:cool:

Ello Sean.Havent seen a lot of them myself recently.I think mackys living abroad somewhere,did the whole goa trip,hippy trail,have bag will travel thing.Saw him last about 95.Still in touch with his older brother neale,who lives on south coast.The other brother roger died about 10 years ago(i dont know if u knew those two).Ste whelan also died a couple of years back.Andy sanderson has a butchers shop in bash ,ithink the rest are still in accy somewhere.I dont know if youve ever been back up here,but believe me its ****e.:(

Hi there I was at Hollins from 1968/9 until 1974. love to speak to some familiar oldies like me. Some names that spring to mind are Denise Mitchell Cherry Howarth Sharon Foster Janice Yerkis Janet Nicholson Linda Chew (all maiden names) Love to know what everyone is up to.

My memory is not what it was but I was often around Higher Antley St with Kathleen Conway. We lost touch and were re united by a mutual friend about 10 years ago.

My older brother and sister went to hollins (as did I, but later), David Glasgow 72-77 and Patricia(Trish) Glasgow 75-80.
Anyone know of or remember them?

I remember David Glasgow we were in the same year. If I recall correctly he was n icknamed "Taffy" for some reason unbeknown! In slight difference to your post I'm sure it was '73 to '78.

Cheers, Max, Good to know I wasn't alone in my desire, LOL. So, do we know each other? I was in L2 class, and used to hang with the guys is the list above. Are you still living in Accrington? If so, how is the old place? I remember it as being a great place to grow up in, lots of fields, trees and rivers to pratt about in and on, as well as a heavy industrial area. Canal bridges to muck around in and at this time of year, some fantastic Bonnies to go to. Oh, is Kim the very pretty girl with the freckles? I really fancied her too...

Hi there, my bro in-law is Ramon Moore he married Susan Holmes (friend of Gemma Curtis and Lindy Robinson) the have two son's and are very happyily living in Accrington. Martin Ali has died..not sure as to how or why! Paul Meridith last i heard joined the Queens guards and since left them. Anything else ..i'd be glad to help if i can. S
