Phillip Pratt, Optician
The shop on Abbey Street was sold by Phillip Pratt to the present owner seven years ago. They do not have his new address, which is 'down South'. Can you help me find him?

Re: Phillip Pratt, Optician
Was he George's brother ?

Re: Phillip Pratt, Optician
I simply don't know. There was a Barrie Pratt at Accrington Grammar School, but they are not related.

Re: Phillip Pratt, Optician
Thanks Jaysay, George died some years ago, think his daughter did an article for the local papers, I wonder if Phillip had a branch on Lower Deardengate at Haslingden

Re: Phillip Pratt, Optician
I have just spoken to one of Philip Pratt's sons, John. I have learned that Philip has died, also Jaqueline, mentioned by Margaret earlier. Philip's son Martin took the business over but sold out 7yrs ago and lives down South (?) I cannot help with the Haslingden query.

She never attended reunions but our organiser (Jean) kept track of most of us. Very few are 'whereabouts unknown' |

Is the shop closed down now? I have been past a few times and never seen it without the shutters.

Re: Phillip Pratt, Optician
Call in Gremlin and order some specs.

Re: Phillip Pratt, Optician
I take it that means it is still open Bob.
I called at the chippy near by last week and it was closed and likewise a few weeks ago. I must be there on the wrong days. We used to get our specs there but for the last few years we have not had the usual reminders. |
