D. Briggs, Dill Hall Lane
I recently bought some cricket books, one of which was Denis Comption's 1953 Cricket annual. It was owned buy a lad, who may now be around 70yrs, who wrote his name on the flyleaf in a sort of Gothic style and I would like to return it to him or his descendants , so if D.Briggs 310 Dill Hall Lane ,Church, Lancashire,England,Europe,Asia,The World will get in touch with me......... - With an address like that, he may well have been an Enfield supporter and a mate of Jack Simmons.

Re: D. Briggs, Dill Hall Lane
Ive learned that he attended the Grammar School and played the piano, being a noted boogie woogie player at an early age. His house was right across the road from Enfield's ground.

Re: D. Briggs, Dill Hall Lane
Ive been in contact with Vera & Marie - not them. He did live with his grandparents opposite Enfield's ground. Quite a character I think- he got expelled from AGS. I might have a job recruiting him to the Old Boys.Even so, he might like his book back just to show t' grandchilder.

Re: D. Briggs, Dill Hall Lane
There was a guy named David Briggs who used to be quite a notable snooker player. Observer Cup level. He would be around the age mentioned (70). Wild Child I believe!
