Grimshaw & holden family

A pal of mine is interested in Septimus Mortimer HOLDEN and his father(?) Mortimer GRIMSHAW. Sep was editor/owner(?) of the Accrington Advertiser, Mort (1826-69) was a firebrand politician/orator who was called The Lancashire Thunderer. Anyone descended from them who might know why there was a surname variation or who knows anything about them?

Thanks Acstan. It will be intersting to learn why Servetas changed his name. Although he was a newspaper owner in the town, when he died, the Observer failed to give him a decent write-up
