Morton family .

My Grandparents had 11 children and from an earlier marriage my grandfather had 4 children.

So far I have found that Ada morton from G/dads first marriage married a James Sargeant . Eleanor Morton married a Phineas Brown.

From 2nd marriage Martha Morton married a Richard Eddleston . May Morton married a Walter Davies. Margaret B married a John Burgess Heys but they emigrated to Australia in the 20s. Eliza married a John Yates and Frank Morton married a Charlotte Rotherham.

Are any of these names in your family trees.

You must be related to everybody in Accrington. Were these marriages ended by death or divorce ?

Feels like it some times. On my fathers side I'm related to half of Stoke on Trent.
Finding every one on my Mum's side I think will be a mammoth task. :D

It might help, max, if you gave us an idea of the time/date involved. Especially if you live in or near Acc, I suggest that you join the Lancashire Family History Society, even if for one year only. This will get you access to their membership and anyone interested in your names, to their internet forum, to local meetings and to the help at their library/workroom in Ossie. It will cost you £12 - see the society's website.

These marriages are all between 1903- 1930's . I am nearer to Chorley . Was at the library yesterday. Will be joining Society shortly.
