I asked a young friend of mine this question some time ago but the only reply I got was that it was possible, no details on how to do it. |

Re: C.D.wanted
You need a hifi with a line out socket(usually marked Tape Record).
A cable from this to the line in on your Computers Soundcard (probably 2 phono to 3.5mm stereo jack ~£5 at most) Set the record playing and using some software(there is freeware on Tucows, Audiograbber is excellent http://www.tucows.com/preview/193549.html) record to WAV(Better quality but 10x bigger file sizes) if you want it on CD or MP3 for playback on your PC/iPod etc. Job done. YOu can 'fiddle with it to remove clicks etc and cut it into individual tracks if you choose. Ian |
Re: C.D.wanted
That would be a lot better than the way I do it but my record deck doesn't have a line out so I have to do a hop skip and jump via a tape which records internally from the record and then plonk the tape in another player which records CDs. Very messy and not very satisfactory.

Re: C.D.wanted
Does your turntable have phonos or is it a single unit Willow? If it has outputs you can 'fudge' it a bit.
