some people may be able to afford the cheap internet packages but a lump sum of cash to buy a pc is way out of the reach for them

there are other schemes where you get a free upto date pc and its yours after 3 years

the only problem is that you have to spend hours each day filling in questionares and surveys on the net

my son used to bring his homework to me every saturday so he could use the internet and even added pictures to his homework

i know it shouldnt matter if a child has acess to a computer at home or not but it does make a difference and gives them an edge over those children that dont and can also provide extra information about a topic that the teacher didnt give so when it turns up in the homework it shows they used their own inititave and gets them extra brownie points

he now has a computer at his mums so my PC belongs to me again :D

Or maybe it's not addictive, maybe I just have nothing else to do.. lol

but yes, computers get you better marks! :p I remember design & technology lessons, some people would put hours of work in colouring things and get a B, i'd whack some pictures from the net on and use some fancy borders and get a B/A :p
