Kittens for free

I put this in the Hints thread about cats but i thought i would add it here as well. I have five kittens which are free to good homes. Another four will be ready in about five weeks. Mums can be seen and have been or are soon to be spayed so no more thank god. PM me if your interested.

Adamski......I would charge a nominal fee for the kittens.....people who get something for nothing usually value it at that. I hope you find these kits some wonderful families who will treasure their new pet.....but Christmastime doesn't favour it.

Re: Kittens for free

we treat all our pets ( 2 dogs & 2 cats )with love and care and spoil them totally rotten - just want to get that out the way .
and one thing I would not do is value any animal at face value !
I would happily pay for one of the kittens should adamski get in contact with me ??
also all my pets are regular visitors to the vets for their innoculations - wew treat our pets with the care they deserve - plus they get fed better than me !
all I can say is if we get one of the kittens it will have landed on its feet living at my house cos if I were a dog or a cat thats where I would want to live !!!

I am really pleased to hear you say that GG........so many people get animals at christmas time and then turn them out when the novelty has worn off.
I have rescued quite a number of cats and know this to be a fact.I Love cats and would have a houseful but hubby says no more. I used to travel to Spain to feed and medicate the strays there......and always said if I came into lots of money i would employ a vet to round up the stray cats around Benalmadena and have them neutered and looked after. It breaks my heart to think of poor animals being badly treated.
I really wasn't casting aspersions about your ability to home one of these kittens.

Re: Kittens for free

wasnt thinking that of you margaret, but I do know what people generally think when animals are given at this time of year.
our youngest dog is a perfect example - got him 3 years ago on a new years eve - saw an advert in the paper, we went round to see the dog, turns out it was only 10 weeks old and was a christmas pressie for the guys wife - 7 days later she didnt like it and it was up for sale :( - out came the new years eve money :o and home came the young jack russell , the then owners told me that he likes to eat baked beans & biscuits  - this was a 10 week old puppy - just shook my head in disbelief as I picked him up - people like that shouldnt even think about having pets !
and one of our cats was gotten from blackburn cat rescue - he was found in burnley with burnt feet and broken ribs, left for dead really - we rehomed him and he is a picture of health now although he has a bladder problem where his urine crystalises which means he has to go to the vets every 6 months to have his bladder unblocked. - his last op cost us £250 for 4 days in the vets!! and for his bladder trouble he has to have specialist food to help him which costs a small fortune - he has had a hard life from some nasty people so we think of our house as his retirement home !! - proper diet, another cat to play with, regular vet trips & 24hr medical help and all the sleep he needs !!
come to think of it all our pets are rescue pets....the only thing that isnt a rescue thing is ME - and at times I need it:D

GG you are a man after my own heart. We lost our little Jack Russell about 10 weeks ago....he was an old man...14 years old.....it broke our hearts. We have two cats too...both rescued. We are not sure if we will get another dog.... but in any case we will wait until after the Christmas period and then maybe re-home a dog that is not wanted.

We only just got a new kitten otherwise I'd have been interested. ("She" turned out to be a "he" but the excuse it that he's very long haired and fluffy so it was hard to tell.) I do hope you find good homes for them.
