CDs or DVDs full of the little rascals... have you got lots of mp3s.. I have a few... anyone wanna swap or donate?

limewire is the best people sharing program i have come across but don't you think it has to many pop-ups and icon suddenly appear on you desktop after you use it e.g poker ringtones....

I did use WinMX and thought that was good.. didnt seem to infect me.. but its a pain and most MP3s found where duds... one line of singing repeated..

hence why i asked in here for a proven list of MP3s .. I have quite a few I got off someone.. but there mostly for kids...

Hoping someone had CDs or DVDs full of em for me :)

I've got over 30gigs worth on my ipod, it'd be easier to transfer straight from that to your hard drive and your mp3s to my ipod, let me know when is convenient :)

I have 11.5 gig.. 3,333 files.. 229 folders and theres only one LP in there I like... oops sorry...CD :)

kind of ironic that you can use limewire to download the profesional version

I found Limewire too slow; same with Kazaa (not to mention the little sh!ts hacking into my system along with it)
I use Shareaza - very simple, no spyware, very efficient.

You see, this is where a nice Linux system comes in, you can download all the viruses you want with no ill effect!

We linux users are far from safe, there is a lot of work to do on a standard linux install before you can let it be attached to the net - just like windows!

I disagree with the majority of what you are saying there Roy. From a business perspective running the servers/forums as you do then yes you need a clear security policy. For domestic users the seperation of execution from opening makes linux far more secure. It is impossible to become infected with anything from just opening (or previewing!) an email. Even if I sent you a script containing the usual nice 'rm -Rf /' for this to have any effect you would have to save it, change to root, change its permisssions and then run it.

A bit old but principles still apply

I'm happy to leave a Linux box, straight virgin Mandriva install open for anyone to have a go at hacking. I'll leave a text doc on there if anyone can tell me the contents of the file I'll give them £20. If you can take the box out and make it unbootable or unuseable in any way £30 will be yours.

Anyone up for the challenge?

All p2p applications are pants, except perhaps bittorrent ... too many rubbish quality songs or if you want anything else, it's proberbly riddled with spyware/viruses :p

I prefer newsgroups, although I pay £15 a month for the privilage :p

I have about 50-60 mp3's if not more with at least 6-9 albums on each one.

DC++ is a good place to go - especially if you're looking for individual songs. Don't ask me how to use it though - I just sit back and watch!!

Try buying a cd, i've never had any virusus from playing it.
I still don'y know how to go on these sites and download, I'm far too innocent.
Sounds like you lot would have everything I've got but I'd be interested in your lists.I've only just worked out how to get my cd's on to my mp3 player, now I have I've realised I don't want what I've got, I can listen to that on the pc, I want something different. I'd be very greatfull

I got sorted.. went round to Roys house and he litrally filled my HD with MP3s :)

Many thanks for all who helped and offered help.. List are soo hard to go through.. you go mental looking at them all..

Anyways I ahve loads now... anyone want them I can plop onto dvds.

Torrent sites are far more reliable than limewire etc, they are ok for individual songs but for full Albums i`d always go with torrents, if unsure about torrents and torrent sites just google it.
They may seem hard to use at first if you are new to it but its dead simple really.

agree with Haz66.... Torrent sites is the best thing... I get wrestling from one site... and share live music bootlegs ( lossless... NO MP3 ) on another....

Only other P2P i trust is soulseek... wouldnt touch limeware with my enemys pc

Well I started the thread asking for MP3s
The thread then seemed to die for a few days.. then it was asked what happend.. so in response i said I was sorted.. But I also added that I am happy to pass the ones I got to anyone.

Why did that provoke a childish response of so long as i am sorted?

Its people like you on here that need to get a life, people who clearly use negative karma as a weapon just because you take something as an insult. It's meant to rate a post, on a thread subject, wether you agree with it's contents or not, not just because you don't like me or think what i've said is aimed at you prsonally. Take as much karma as you like, I know that I'm better than that though.

i like my torrents :) never had a problem with them, speeds from 20 - 140kbps. never used lime wire
