probably PCI as your main vid card will be using the agp slot.

Re: SWAP : Video card wanted
I have some dual cards... maybe they may be ok for you..
|
Re: SWAP : Video card wanted
no idea what a dual card is.. unless its what they brought out years ago where ya could have two setups on one box ....
i did work on laptop and plug extra monitor in.. now forced back to desktop and am missing my extra monitor for the workspace... so its either stick another card in or get my laptop back off my eldest daughter..... not an easy task :) now sorted with ossymal thanks :) |

Re: SWAP : Video card wanted
Thanks chaps.
Having read this thread, it moved me into experimenting using two monitors. I’d thought about it before but you know how it is, I just never got round to doing it, until now. At the moment I have a spare monitor because my main pc is in the repair shop and it may be there for some time, so I thought I’d give it a bash whilst is free. I managed to set it all up after doing a couple of searches on the web and following a few easy instructions and to be honest, it’s brilliant. They do though recommend getting a dual video card rather than having a second video card fitted as they could conflict and cause problems. There's loads of info on the subject, just do a search for “two monitors xp” You can also get a free download called ULTRSMON which I have read is a must if you intend to have multiple monitors. It allows you with great ease to move and manage your pages between monitors. http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ Cheers :) |
