Re: Photo mounts wanted

Will they be for hanging pictures frames on a wall, if so what will their dimensions be?

I’m sorry but I don’t get the jist….
I have done a bit of a sketch; will they look something like what I have drawn?

I know…… it looks more like a sad frog. Hehe

In fact it’s a front view and two possible end views. (A,B)

Haaaa Sorry Len think at cross thingies here mate :)

A photo mount is the bit of cardboard between the photo and the frame :) Example the dark blue bit between the pic and the frame below..

I can see mount may seem like the bracket to mount on a wall... but the term mount does usually mean this bit... ie printed, mounted and framed..

You can do them yourself - I always used to buy the card from Granthams in Blackburn but I think it's moved to Preston. Then you buy a cutter - you can buy them that cut at a 45 degree angle, that way you can cut them to exactly the size you need.

Alternatively, there used to be a picture framer on Abbey St, don't know if it's still there or not.

Most diy stores sell them in packs

Re: Photo mounts wanted

Buying in packs are no good.. given that I dont want standard sizes and will want more than one pic in a frame.. thanks

Gayle yes I know.. the angle blade and rule is over 100 quid :) we have done them ourselves in the past but takes half a day and half a dozen ruined ones before we get it spot on .. imagine 50 and more intricate ..

Thought someone might be good at it or know somone who wants to amke a few quid :)

Why don't you try Hobby craft or whatever it's called at Bolton Middlebrook retail park?

We have just dumped loads from when my hubby was into photgraphy, he got them from GPS but don't think they are in business anymore. At the time he got a good quote price wise from Cotswold prints etc (At least he thinks that was their name) mind you we are talking many many years ago.
