Playboy stuff!

If anyone has any playboy merchandise going for grabs I am looking.

I am a single parent of three children and am trying to get together as much playboy stuff as i can for my daughter.

I am willing to pay but for obvious reasons, i cannot afford much.

I would appreciate it, if anyone has anything, they could pm me or contact me on 07837870204.

Thanks very much, donna

I was curious as to what this thread was about but now I'm even more curious. What do you mean by "playboy" stuff? Seeing they're for your kids I suppose it's not what an American thinks when they hear Playboy.

OMG LMFAO!! Don't worry boys, teenage girls are mad on the playboy stuff at the minute. It's just the bunny design and they shove it on anything they can do and inflate the price as with all 'fads'

I still find the Playboy connection to be a little disturbing to have as a logo on kids' things.

123ashton is at her wits end trying to find 'playboy' stuff for her daughter. Give her a break guys and if anyone has anything let her know.

oh and there's a few of you that need to get up to date.

Thanks for bringing them to our wave length tinkerbelle

Thanks for the advice Steph, "oh and there's a few of you that need to get up to date."

But now I wonder why would anyone allow their daughters have anything to do with stuff which totally degrades women and makes them appear as mindless bimbos.

Re: Playboy stuff!

My girls liked the "cute rabbit" when the logo first began to appear on kids stuff - then I told them the origins of it and they decided that they didn't want to wear it. It may sound like we need to get up to date but there will still be many of the older generations who see the association as something I'm sure the parents of young chidren don't want. How would it be if these "dirty old men" saw it as a come on? I know I'll probably lose karma for this and it's up to 123ashton what she wants to buy for her own children. My complaint (for want of a better word) is with the designers who feel this is a sutable logo for use next to Barbie and Whinnie the Pooh.

Re: Playboy stuff!

It's the merchandising 'must have' label for young teen and pre-teen girls.

It's so popular and readily available in every high street, that it's easy to forget where this logo comes from, mainly Hugh Hefner's Playboy empire, which has it's origins in soft core pornography.

It all just seems ironic, and I'm sure these young girl's feminist forebearers are looking on exasperatedly.

Yeah, my first reaction was 123ashton was looking for old playboy magazines for her kids. Must agree when I was a youngster I really liked the articles!;)

I was unaware of this fashion trend. Just asked me daughter Annie (16) and she says its very popular over here also. With jewlery and and clothing. Lesson learned but agree with those above. Wouldn't allow my daughter to show off anything that reminds me of Hugh Hefner.

Sorry for using your thread 123ashton, but it is interesting.

Personally I've nothing against it, I just think its strange how the logo has become mainstream teen merchandising.

I'm against censorship, but was shocked to find this blog, were the woman is petitioning to get rid of all Playboy stuff from WHSmiths. That is going way too far.

It certainly surprised me too but I am a little out of touch here. My eldest grand daughter is into silver stuff.......whatever that is......but it costs loads. I hate this peer pressure, where kids have to have designer things. It's so hard on single parent families and doesn't bode well for the kid who has everything.

I may be carting on a bit but it was so much fun playing hide and seek around the streets or half the neighbourhood tying a bit of old washing line to the lamppost and skipping!

Happen it's skipping ropes with rabbits on now!
