I'd love a mac I just dont really need one now I got my new laptop. I dont really have anything to swap anyway because I gave my old laptop to my dad..

Why do you want to swap? You can use Windows or Linux on a mac anyway... :S

I had windows on it as parellels but its naff.. didnt even recognise itself as a laptop..

Got bootmanager so i could install windows and boot wit it.. but it says firmware needs updating.. so as instructed i went to apple.. typed bootmanager firmware.. downlaoded latest one... But the laptop tells me it has the latest and doesnt need an update... if i could get bootmanager working i could install winxp and run it as a pc..

but i just wish i had a pc one instead..


how much? well enough to buy a decent pc laptop...this one is new or refurbed and will be under waranty... but the person who bought it me still has that bit

I'd love it but I've just spent my 'toys' budget on a Canon D400 so I can't help at the moment.

PS, did I ever collect that 3G datacard, I'm getting old and can't remember

Windows on a MAC? I've never done it but if its an x86 CPU it should be possible, I'll have a shufty around.

You seen onmac.net??? Choice of BootCamp or XOM (Although it does say there are issues with both) you may need to look into what you want to do with it and which best fits your requirements.

Swapped.. now have a compaq presario.. only half a gig of memory.. anyone got and can fit 2 gig into it ?

Ian says crucial is best place for memory, shout if you need a lift fitting it.
