That must be the most pathetic description of a laptop ever sold on here. People want to know the speed of it so telling us what processor is in it helps. Knowing the model number lets you find out everything about it from the Dell web site. That is all entwisi was asking for. A photo helps as well.

Re: F.S Dell laptop

This laptop was sold to a member by PM 1 hour 20 mins after placing the advert,he saw a good deal and went about his business the in the correct manner, that being completed, for some reason this thread went crazy as is usual for this forum, with all the know-alls and nosy parkers sticking there oars in,you lot really should have something better to do,unless of course what you are doing is a Hobby

I can see what you mean there. A few weeks ago somebody was trying to sell something and another member went googling round the internet and then posted a link to a different site selling memory cards

Re: F.S Dell laptop

Treacletart I was trying to point out to you that you were the one who was being 'funny'. When one of the members asked you a perfectly decent question regarding the processor and model number instead of replying to the question you gave the sarcastic response 'yep it has a processor and model number' and then went on to accuse the questioner of being shirty with you. Why you couldn't simply have answered a perfectly logical question in a serious manner was beyond me.

If you expect to be taken seriously by the members here at least treat them with the same respect and not sarcasm.

Re: F.S Dell laptop

treacletart I was merely responding to your post about me.

If I see something advertised on here and it doesn't give many details, if I was interested in buying one I would ask some specific questions to see if it was what I was looking for. If I then got a sarcastic comment instead of a sensible reply I wouldn't be too impressed.

My original post was merely pointing out to you that Ian and Sam had asked a couple of reasonable questions about the processor (there is a lot of difference in processors so knowing which one the laptop has makes sense) and the model number (so that other information about it can be checked up on the internet in order to ascertain whether that model will fulfil the purpose in doing what the prospective purchaser wishes to do with it) which you chose to answer with sarcasm. What was your problem there? Why couldn't you just have posted the details requested instead of the flippant reply? Then you seemed at a loss to understand why one enquirer was miffed at your attitude towards him. I merely tried to illustrate to you why he had cause to be miffed. He had after all even tried to point you in the direction of someone who'd been on here specifically looking for a laptop, but then you can't help some folk can you?

A few days ago we delivered an item on behalf of an AccyWebber. The logical question we asked related to the size and weight of the item so that we would know if it would fit in the back of the car or if we'd need to put it in the trailer. Logical questions for the particular circumstances. People do not normally object to answering logical questions. If we'd been given a childish reply like "yes it has a size and weighs something" we'd probably have turned round and said "Go and get it yourself.!" :D

lol - I hadn't checked the link. From someone who had previously criticised others for doing exactly the same thing that's really quite funny. I'd give you karma Dave but it won't let me. I have to spread it around a bit first. :D
