Net Curtain required

Urgently required a net curtain to replace the one that used to be in my bedroom until it was ripped to shreds by the cat with no name!

One that fits a standard terraced house window, I'm a bloke and I don't do net curtains, approximate will do.

Let's face it, if I end up with 6' nets I just move the curtain hooks and the springy thing to a height where they fit it isn't rocket science. :)

Re: Net Curtain required

It will just rip the next net curtain to bits too. The long term solution is to apply privacy film to the glass - will let the light in but make the glass semi opaque.
PS and it wont need regular laundering - just wash your window as normal

flashy 16-07-2007 12:36

or just dont let the cat in the bedroom, now THATS not rocket science is it les :D

No it won't I'll fit an electric fence around my windows it will soon learn to get back to drawing my blood, at least I'm self healing!

Mine never bothered with the nets they went right for the curtains that now look like tea bags in the bedroom full of perforation holes! it was worse in my house because i have 2 they used to chase each other up one side of the curtain and down the other side trying to run after each other but now they are too heavy it hurts their claws and nearly pulls down the curtain pole!!!

I dont undestand why does people always have to talk about their lives when all they ask is if they have a spare net curtain, its with everything that people sells on this page that someone has to talk about their live, if u want to to talk about ur life experience why dont u go to general chat, not being nasty but its a bit annoying

Oh dear I'm so sorry that I have annoyed you, but I post in a manner that I enjoy, (and hopefully so do others), learn to live with it.

The site would get very boring indeed if we were all to follow your advise.

Oh im sorry but if i had just plonked that post in General chat it would have nothing to do with anything now would it! I think where it is was fine if there was a problem it would have been moved wouldnt it! If you dont want to read my posts then dont simple.

Can i just point out that your post has nothing to do with net curtains either.:p

I think you will find Yolanda that this was a 'tongue in cheek' thread and not really a genuine cry for a new net curtain, otherwise the mods would have deleted some of the posts for not sticking to the point.

Less has been letting us know about the progress of his new kitten and this entry was very funny if you had read the other thread.

'Course you weren't to know if you hadn't read them and would have been fair comment on the face of it.

Ok, will try and search for the one I took down then.
Surely, he would be bonkers to put up another one though ?
Can just see 'cat' salivating once he has put it up at the thought of a new toy to climb ..

Don't worry about it Mummiboo, I started the thread with humour in mind, in the spirit of accyweb you joined in, there is nothing at all wrong with that so far as I'm concerned.:D

Katex as usual you are half right and half wrong, yes I admit the thread was started in a 'tongue in cheek' manner, however there is no way that the old net curtain can be repaired, so I am, trying to scrounge a replacement.:)

HEY !! FOUND IT !! ... was staring me in the face all the time .. bottom of me ironing basket !! Do you still need one ??

Think could be short for a terraced house window though .. measures 45" drop (ya know Less top to bottom :D) . Width was for 68",(so probably 2 times that) but that doesn't really matter. Although was clean in basket .. if you still want, will swill it through again .. just for you. Still have the rod too .. which is one that holds itself up inside the window if you understand .. no screwing necessary .. :D
