WANTED: VW Golf Cabriolet or Hatchback

I am looking for a Volkswagen Golf, cabriolet in particular.
Capacity 1600cc

Does anyone know of one for sale or has got one they are considering selling, my maximum budget is $600. Anything considered.

It will be very ropey convertible for £600 ( I assume you really did mean Pounds not Dollars) and to be honest will probably be more trouble than its worth. You need to check seriously for rust as convertibles are very susceptible and suffer more than normal cars due to lack of the roof bracing the chassis.

YUour best bet is probably Autotrader but really, I wouldn't buy a £600 convertible. You should be able to find a half decent Hatchback though.

You didn't mention if it had to be a specific Model (Mk 1, 2 etc)

Ive just sold one for £1500, it was a mk 1 golf cabrio, the body wasnt mint but the floor was realy good.

you will only find a knackered one for that money requiring a lot of work to make it roadworthy.

if you need any help to look at one let me know and ill be to happy to help you and tell you were to look for serious problems

Well it isn't exactly a golf, settled on a 3-door polo, 350 quid. Needs a new clutch, but other than that immaculate. Slight miss-fire, reckon its the plugs. Just trial and error, don't wanna take the head off till the gasket goes... Might get sum pics up when it comes back from the garage with a new clutch. Can't wait!

Did look at a golf convertible for 500, needed a little tidying and sum rust work, but nice. went for askin price. Cheers anyways!
