2 x art deco/1960's wall lights..
3 Attachment(s)
Right folks... as you may remember I had these wall lights removed from what is now my nursery as they didnt go with the new decor:rolleyes:
they have sat around the house for long enough and it is now time for them to go..the original tennant had them installed way back...? So I shall offer them on here... 2 x art deco/1960's wall lights...yes they are a matching pair and yes they are in pretty damn good condition apart from tiny bits of rust? around the main holder but this doesnt detract from them in any way at all and isnt really seen when on the wall... the actual shade is kind of cream in colour and is made of glass... they are genuine 1960's ? shades here not the copys you can buy.. yours for £10 I dont really know what else to say about them... apart from they will add a bit of light to a dark room :) yes they do work yes they were taken out by a professional sparky no light bulbs dont come with them no the glass is not chipped or cracked at all yes you will be happy with them... any questions please ask... |
Re: 2 x art deco/1960's wall lights..
they look more 'art nouveau' than 'art deco' to me , but could be wrong,
I allways get mixed up between baroque and rococo, can never remember which has one cherub and which has two  :D |

Art deco- angular, boxy, clean lines, sleek, 1920's/30's. I always remember it because nouveau is a long, sensuous word, whilst deco is to the point and sharp, like their respective designs. These two lights are more inspired by art deco, but are really great examples of late 50's, early 60's space race chic, and at a tenner are a bargain, in my opinion. |
