Re: Wanted

Kitty,
why not offer sales service, you do all the pictures/postage etc and take a cut of any sales. I'm sure there are loads of people who have stuff they just can't be bothered to stick on eBay. You would have to be careful about stolen goods etc but there is no reason why it shouldn't provid a small income(remember to declare it!!!! :D )

Re: Wanted

Whatever blows your frock up love. after reading your other thread forget teh declare it bit :D It wasn't meant in any negative way, just that I know HMRC are now paying attention to large sellers on ebay and treating it as extra income as opposed to just selling on stuff you no longer need. :D

I find eBay has dropped a lot recently. Some things are now bringing near new money, other stuff sells for peanuts if at all.

And to resell them goes against the real purpose of Freecycle

EBay is quite tough these days. Quite often things go unsold. It's not as lucrative as I once thought it would be.

Of course i am ;)

i used to buy baby things in second hand shops, wash them, use them then sell them on....i got a gro bag for £1.50 and sold it for £14 after Jack had used it for 6 months!(it was a mothercare one).
Second hand shops sell baby things really cheap as they dont know what they are really worth and alot of the volunteers in the ones down in Accy dont have children so they price them very low because they are no value to them personally(if that makes sense?).

As much as thats a good idea(making money)...i wouldn't do it.
I give things away on freecycle hoping that the people that pick the stuff up are going to use the items personally and not sell them on.
