Has anyone possibly got a copy of an oldish book called 'exit to eden' by Anne Rampling?

Exit to Eden is a novel by Anne Rice, initially published in 1985 under the pen name Anne Rampling


a 'friend' has recommended i read this, he said it will 'do me good' lol

i've read some reviews on it and it seems a rather raunchy book, i dont usually like fiction, but i'll give it a go ;)

Anne Rice is one of my favourite authors, but unfortunatly I havent read this one nor do i own a copy. I bet you can find one on amazon dead cheap though.

has your kids not got library tickets?

yeah but the book she is after might not be appropriate for reece so they wouldnt let her borrow it on his card...

I have no problems getting books on my sons card and hes only 6

why dont you just offer to pay for the book, just tell them you lost it, books go missing all the time , then you can get the one you want

I'd ring up, I'm sure they aint that bad. Explain to them what happened. If anything, what they gonna charge you? The cost of the book?
Unless it was some 1200 page Encyclopedia of some sort, ya looking at less than a tenner?
Worth ringing them and asking them what their policy on late charges and lost books is.
Ya won't have to tell them who you are if your just asking

That's what I was thinking. It seems a bit harsh if losing one book gets you banned for life. I would offer to pay for the lost book, I'm at the library most weeks. I couldn't cope if I couldn't borrow any more books. :eek:

Why not take the book in and say that you found this at home when you were having a clear out and see what they say. Found this on the lcc website:

Overdue Charges Books 11p per day per item
(to a maximum of £6)

By the way ive lost books and im still a member.

Whats that all about, how does flashys son know that she has a book that she has kept on her house all this time? unless she went up to him and said "listen son i have had this book from the library for a few years now but shhh, dont tell anyone"

oh my goodness lol i think i'll ring up first and see how much they are going to charge me, then start saving up....SJ i aint stealing, the book is still here....Neil behave, i'm feeling a bit fragile today :D
