Re: Glass bottles

I think people mainly get them from pubs.

Re: Glass bottles

When I broke mine I replaced it with an empty sweet jar , may not hold quite as much but serves it's purpose.

Re: Glass bottles

Try a florist or garden centre. Sometimes they use them for planting like a little greenhouse.

Re: Glass bottles

They are called carboys "a large container made of plastic or glass, usually protected by a wooden, wire or Heavy rope casing and used to hold corrosive liquids such as acids"

In brewing, a carboy is also known as a demijohn Big Bottles with two handles on
They have 'em in Home Brew Shops

I've had the same one for nearly 30 years got it from Marthome Grange in about 1979, usually empty it every three years, get between £150 to £180 out of it. I also collect £2 £1 50p and 20p coins
