Im after a baby gate as cheap as possible if anyones got one knocking around that they dont need anymore

Emzy... check the boys toy box in His kitchen, the stopper for the other one might be in there.

Thanks, will get him to have a root for it, still need another though, thats at the bottom of the stairs (only problem is jacks sussed out that if he pulls the corner he can squeeze through and go upstairs)

Do you not have a sure start around you i know that the one in preston near us will give you safety gates for £5 each!

Yep, my health visitor was recommending me to them back in january, since then ive heard nothing. Have tried to contact my health visitor but no-one ever answers the phone and its getting to the point where i really need them now, these 2 are in at everything and climbing anything they can get a foot on

This is a number for Sure Start, you could give them a ring yourself instead of waiting for the health visitor

ask to speak to Jane Greenwood - she used to deal with the safety gates when i worked there - it used to be either 2 gates and a fireguard or 2firegurrds and a gate - dont know if it still the same - you had to fill out brief paperwork and then go to homewise and pay £20 for them -somebody comes round to fit them securely for you

The funding for sure start dried up, so they no longer provide this. I have finally managed to get through to a health visitor (through another number at last) and they are referring me again (they hadnt already, she checked through my records and my health visitor had not done this, which is very nice of her :mad:) So fingers crossed I should be sorted in the not to distant future
