wanted cheap laptop
 

Hi, my pc is on its way out and i am thinking about buying a 2nd hand laptop but i need one as cheap as possible. I need wireless internet. I need it for when i go back to work, so will need word, power point and av out(i think thats what i mean :D)? and for my internet use....anyone know a good place to get one?

what do you class as 'cheap', £100, 200 300??

somewhere between 100 and 200.The closer to 100 the better :D

OK, what do you think you mean by teh comment about AV out? what do you want to do that makes you think you want this?

Office ETC you can use openoffice which is free so that will save you something. a 'proper' license for office is more than £100 so to get a cheap laptop with it isn't going to be that close to your budget.

wireless don't worry if teh laptop isn't wifi enabled itself, a USB dongle can be picked up for ~£12-15.

One thing to check is the battery life, laptop batteries are reknown for losing their life and aren't cheap.


I would persoanlly avoid ebay for this sort of thing unless its very local and you can pick it up in person.

thinking about it i could transfer the things i need to use by usb instead of av out. i dont want to use ebay because i have no idea what all the stuff means lol and i dont want to pay a fortune for something duff.

This company in Nelson do 2nd user laptops. One strange quirk though, they leave the laptops on site for a while even when sold. Look at the qty line above the price, if it's 0 then it's sold.

is that the same chap who sells pc stuff out of a garage? if it is he's a nice fella, once gave me some leads for my pc for nowt and fixed mi dads pc for only £10

It is Robin Bank Road...Sorry...Turn off the main Road from Blackburn (Duckworth St) into Union Street pass the Police Station then left up Robin Bank..Its on the left at the top of the hill.
