We need a single bed, reasonable condition if poss, and as cheap as poss too !
It's for the cricket club's professional, he has moved house and the bed in there isn't long enough for him !

Haha Lindsay .. how tall is this guy ?

Standard length single/double bed in the U.K. is 75"/190 CMS ... not until you get to a King size, do you get a longer one ..i.e. 78"/198 cms.

Is he on a bunk bed at the moment ? So are you saying a standard single would be OK then ?

Hey, not supposed to wander on this type of thread :nono8:
No .. only a double actually, (but adequate) but have two spare bedrooms ... LOL.

Being a Miss Goodytwoshoes, was just trying to establish the precise details for Lindsay for any benefactors that may come forward ... :p

I know the size you mean Lindsay. Mimi used to have one. They are supposed to be for small bedrooms to allow you space for other stuff. They're not actually a child bed and perfectly OK for adults so long as you aren't a tall adult. Since Busman re-arranged a few walls she now has a normal sized bed.

Re: Wanted.. a single bed

I have tall men in my family, so from practical experience I say -
It works out cheaper to buy a double and sleep diagonally ;)
