Re: Cooker

You could try the Sense charity shop in town, they usually have some cookers in and all their electrical items are properly tested before being sold. Good luck

If you get really stuck and can't find one quick enough then maybe HUFS would be a good place to go? (the place recommended in another thread in this section).

True, might try this, or might just try and get a loan from somewhere to get one

Try for a Social Fund Loan - a cooker is an 'essential' so may qualify

We come across them ocasionally emzy, if we take one out that is ok, will let you have it, but, like I say, it is only occasionally.

Re: Cooker

some of the towns have credit unions , loaning money at a very cheap rate of interest ie.£300 over a year = £6.31 a week paying back just £329.28. The nearest one to me is Rawtenstall tel.01706 212759 , they would be able to tell you if one nearer yourself .

i thought you had to save with them before they would loan you money?

Try the shop on Union Road in Ossy that does hoovers & washing machines aswell. Its on the same block as the gym, across from the town hall. My friend got a brand new one from there fully fitted for £75.

I was without an oven door for about 12 months Emzy after the glass had blown (whilst I was on holiday !). Took door off completely and worked a treat if I put a large piece of foil across the doorway. Was electric. Might be a temporary measure.

Sorry, I can't help you ... but some good suggestions on here. x

It cant still be used but dangerous if the boys go near it (they are still very young and often 1 provides a distraction for the other to be naughty) I nearly burnt myself using it yesterday

Am holding out some hope that someone somewhere has one going very cheap so i can replace it lol
