2 x Mature Pampass grass - Free to good home

As per title, only thing is you have to dig them up, they are in Baxenden and pretty large( ~ 4 foot diameter )

For someone looking to landscape somewhere these would cost a fortune from a garden centre, they will only cost you the sweat and effort to remove.

Post reply or PM me if interested.

Careful: Pampas grass and swingers , is it true ?. - Sheffield Forum

Pampas grass, according to some, is a sign that your a swinger. I grew up with one of these (sharp, hurty and hard to get rid of) plants outside my house and I'm quite certain my parents werent doing this!

I'd compost / tip them!

When I had a garden I grew a large specimen.
I too had to give it away because one day I found my cat choking. It wasn't a normal 'fur ball' type of symptom. I was baffled until I noticed a blade of grass protruding from his nose. I pulled it out - it was 4" long!. Those blades are spikey, unlike normal grass.

PS it was in the back garden;)

If those plants can kill cats they are starting to sound like a good idea. Horrible pesky vermin leaving disgusting smelly lumps in my garden. :(

I am sure there is a much more humane way of deterring cats from your garden, Neil.
I have two cats, but they use litter trays.
