Does anyone know where I can get some horse manure for free if possible

Do you need a bag or two , or are you talking by the ton ?

I probably need about six bags. I have two plots about 14ft x 6ft.

We could pick it up but we only have a small car

I don't have a farm , but there is a large farm at Copster green , between Clitheroe and Preston on the A59 that have horses . You could ask there maybe?

The Farm is just before you go into Copster Green on the right .
I am sure they will only be too pleased to get rid of some !

Be warned though , You must let it rot down for 12 months
Cow muck is cheaper and better , because you don't get as many grass seed with it as they have four stomachs , so they are ground up more .

They usually charge 50p per bag for horse manure !

Coming from Haslingden on the Haslingden Old Road, was a farm just past Farmer's Glory selling it £1. per bag. Sorry, don't know name of farm.

Try Spire Farm. They have a manure mountain which is blocking the unofficial public footpath.
