toshiba satellite a30 laptop

this laptop works fine but the model has a design flaw which toshiba never fixed

for some reason or other when the battery is in and you use it on mains power the laptop will switch to battery power after 30 mins or so and start to drain the battery.This can be easily worked around by pressing the power button and putting it into hibernation then bringing it out of hibernation and it will resume charging the battery.
