Free to good home - HUFS

3 piece brown/beige floral suite - some wear & tear on the cushions but otherwise a good solid settee with 2 chairs.

I will try & upload some photos later or pm me for details & it can be viewed in the evenings.

As I say, it's free of charge if anyone can make use of it - only thing is I need to move it out of my house by Monday evening next week & if anyone does want it they would have to be able to pick it up.

Thanks for reading

If no-one wants it then perhaps you could let HUFS have it and they will pass it on to someone who is in need.
HUFS is the Hyndburn Used Furniture Store.

I rang them Margaret but was told because of a couple of the cushions looking a little 'tired' they wouldn't be able to use it

They didn't used to be so picky.

When I tried to give them some furniture, they didn't want a solid oak bookcase, and were hesitant about an oak refectory table.
They said 'our customers don't read books and don't sit at tables to eat'.

I tried to give them a leather suite which needed a bit of tidying up on a cushion,
they said they couldn't accept it, I think it was more they didn't want to negotiate it through the porch, supplier of new suite took it no problem,Wont offer anything to Hufs again.

It makes you wonder if the people they are supposed to be helping know that perfectly good items are being refused on their behalf?

I have just moved this thread from buy/sell to general chat because it has generated a lot of replies so shouldn't be in buy/sell

how does that gaff work because people seem to give a lot to this place thinking it gets given to people free of charge but they once tried charging me £40 for a fridge that had a snapped off bit of copper pipe to keep the milk in the door as the plastic had been snapped

Do you install elective software that can detect and only euthanase dossers?
