Nikon 40mm prime lens

I have a Nikon 40mm prime lens surplus to my requirements.
I don't know why I bought it, I have a 50mm prime lens which is near enough the same.
It's not very old and been used a dozen times at most.
It's a prime lens, no zoom, it has autofocus which can been over ridden by a focus ring without altering any other settings, built in Vibration reduction which helps when you are a bit shaky. Complete with lens hood, some filters, soft case, box as new and paperwork.
Check on line for price and you will see that the £80 I am asking is a steal.
I think I paid about £165.

I am not an ebayer but they are a lot more than that there.

Taken with the 40mm lens.

I also have an unused 300mm zoom lens. Auto focus. Once again bought on a whim, I have a 400mm pro nikon lens which covers 300mm.
Once again, hoods, filters, soft case and boxed with paper work.
£100 another steal.
Must be getting soft in my old age.

Re: Nikon 40mm prime lens

That's the trouble Frank, I can't resist trying something else out.
The 55-300mm lens was bought February this year and the 40mm July last year. I showed the chap who bought them the receipts to prove it.

I have a pro 120-400mm Nikon VR Af lens and it covers the 300mm.
I bought a 50mm prime lens because it has macro and is a superb job so that is near enough a 40mm lens so why keep them both?
I used the 50mm all day yesterday to get a few shots for the "Today's pictures" posts.
I won't be selling any more lens's in the near future. I gave a new one last year for a raffle in the Moffat Golf club in aid of the McMillan nurses. It raised more than it cost me.
The Olympus is still sitting happily in my camera drawer and is still open to offers.
That is DSLR with two lens's.
I have spent far too many hours this year making the model steam engine when I should be out and about in the sun with the camera. There are days on end when I don't want to go our or even see anybody so the model job keeps me sane, if that's what I am.

Would you believe the lady in the sample photo I printed is 71 and has just come back from camping out at Glastonbury?
When I took the photo she had her mother with her, pair of bright sparks but I don't know their names, it was just a photo job for her.
