Is it possible to create a 26 mile course in Accrington, even if you include the rest of Hyndburn I think you'd have to lap it a few times.

What happened to the Hameldon Hill race that used to run every year simular time to the London Marathon?!?!? has it stopped?? remember my brother doing it n didnt do too bad. It used to go past where i used to live n finish on Peel Park feild aka ole Accy stan ground

Just imagine if the rest of the competitors followed Paula's shining example;viewers would wonder if they were watching the Boat Race! Seriously I don't think it's the greatest idea to take a leak on national television;I thought she had wimped out at Athens thru heat exhaustion not because of an embarassment in the knicker department! Give it up Paula and do something a little less taxing,darts maybe??

Why should being a famous athlete, and a very rich one, make Ms Radcliffe different from everyone else? If any other runner in that race had done what she did there would have been an outcry.

i think instead of a full marathon may be a mini marathon

i doubt there would be enough people in accy fit enough to run a full marathon

the people who would actualy care enough to do it would be older and no spring chickens

most of the people young enough to do a marathon would be glued to their bottles of white lightening and WKD

Altough once a very good long distance runner those days are unfortunatly behind me for ever but for a decent charity i woulda got off my arse and done a run but definatly not a marathon lol

a smaller run would enable more people to join in and raise mor money for a good cause


i would recomend that anyone running for charity donate to the C.O.P.M.F

I would beg to differ there PurpleLass. I think there are plenty of altruistic people in the world, it is a criminal few who take advantage and misdirect the funds.
