You could also climb the big end of Pendle for some great views. Downham at the foot of Pendle is a very pretty village.

Have to say, don't think we did the Trough, but we have certainly quartered the country around Pendle - I even confided to Bill where H M has her little shooting lodge! (State secret). We did Settle, and went to the Hark to Bounty at Slaidburn. Only thing is, Bill, you and Eileen will have to come for a good long time!

Has no-one yet told him about the Stag? - centre of the known universe, and good beer with it? Knowing Billcat as a beer and cheese connoisseur, Lancashire is net to Heaven!

Of course, I might have to reciprocate by preparing my North Carolina-style, slow-smoked, pulled pork shoulder BBQ - assuming that we can get some "volunteers" interested in sampling it (and something the I can use as a smoker)! I taught myself how to make it when my favorite BBQ restaurant closed.
