Are you a genius?
 

Dave Gorman - really funny comedian - is hosting a new show on Radio 4 and they're looking for genius ideas. I'm pretty sure people on this site can come up with some more for him.

They're not looking for clever inventions as such, just those brilliant ideas that would be incredibly useful.

I submitted this idea.

Traffic lights and a road marking system in supermarkets.

Has anyone here got any better ones?

Another idea I submitted was -

Prospective politicians and councillors should attend a training school prior to being selected. Then they can't stand for parliament or local council unless they actually pass the course, irrespective of their policies.

As well as vetting people who want to adopt, how about vetting prospective parents before they have children.

Some of it would go underground as it did in China years ago when they were only allowed one child per family, but it would still cut back on the number of unwanted children, especially if they sterilised the unsuitable.
