Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?
I don't know how old this is but if it gains momentum it would have serious consequences for 50% of the population.
Walter E. Williams writes women in Sweden, Germany and Australia have launched a new cause: They want men to sit down while urinating. Part of their demand is related to the "splash factor," but more crucially, men standing up to urinate is deemed by these women as triumphing in their masculinity, "a nasty macho gesture" and by extension degrading to women. Feminists at Stockholm University are campaigning to ban campus urinals and one Swedish elementary school has already removed urinals. I don't know about you, but if I don't tell women to stand up to urinate, they're not going to tell me to sit down to urinate. http://men.typepad.com/mens_hour/mens_health/ |

Re: Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?
Well I've never given it much thought Less! I'm all for the mystery bloke that Pusses all over the toilet floor in the Gents in the Pub to sit down! :D

Re: Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?
l always thought l'd been taught men's bladders don't fully empty unless they are standing up?
Female urinals have been used before, but weren't deemed a great success. If they were installed to adjust this monsterous inequality, at least we could all pee on the floor together. |
Re: Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?
I have no problem with you fellas standing up or sitting down;it's those of you with spray attachments that make life hard work! Maybe a few accuracy lessons at a young age would help.
As for female urinals.....NO!!! that's very wrong! |
Re: Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?
Aaah, just imagine it. If fellas had to sit down the toilet seat would no longer be left in the upright position. :D

Re: Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?

Anyway, women can pee standing up, so there - and our aim can't be worse than that of many men I have known .... |
Re: Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?
Interesting. Over here in the states, they've discussed what is referred to as "potty parity." The concept is, when new public buildings are constructed, that they make the "Ladies" a larger room with more stalls, rather than the same square footage as the "Gents." Basically, the idea is that if the "Gents" can accomodate 75 customers during a 15-minute theatre intermission, the "Ladies" should also be able to accomodate 75. It seems like a reasonable idea to me; those lines for the "Ladies" are often ridiculous, while we gents more or less literaly "zip" through!
Of course, the proposal mooted above would have just the opposite effect by making everyone have to "go slow!" |
Re: Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?
Why separate ladies and gents?
Do a big loo, so that everyone has the same access. You might even get some ladies standing!!! |
Re: Is it time we stood up for our natural rights?
