made in china
i was reading this article
http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/la.../NEWSBBN0.html i remember when " made in china" was found on the bottom of cheap crappy toys , not our militarys uniforms it seems our govenment is also jumping on the band waggon and sending our jobs to people abroad for less pay the fact that it is the contract for our militarys clothing makes it even more of a bitter pill to swallow :( Quote:

Re: made in china
Maybe we should bring back the old "I'm backing Britain"campaign. Or would we be accused of being racist?

Re: made in china
The only thing about buying British and I'm backing Britain is that our stuff is too expensive in comparison with stuff made in the Far East. I'll bet that there are not even enough manufacturers left in this country to cope with the demand if everybody bought British.
We don't seem to manufacture much anymore in this country. Most manufacturing has gone to countries with cheap labour and a lower cost of living. Can you imagine our manufacturers trying to pay a British workforce 5 quid a week and getting away with it with our standard of living.:( It's all so wrong, but I feel that as a nation we have allowed our manufacturing industries to dwindle. I do try to buy British whenever I can (except wine which is usually Antipodean...) :D |
Re: made in china
you would think that the govenment would want british companies making our armys uniforms though
in the event of declaring war on china all uk soldiers uniforms will detonate or release syanide lol |
