Banking

Building my posts up and ackers ! when i go to try and bank them it asks me how many i would like to bank? so i tell it to put twenty in the bank for me not bothered about the point something,it tells me that i do not have that much in hand (after it told me how much i had) just cant get my head around this  is someone bank rolling us or what? when you go back to main menu it tells me i still have 20.13 ackers in hand?

How doyou get as far as the bank

harwood red 17-06-2005 22:54

Re: Power - Karma

click on the store button at top of page then click the bank and you can deposit and withdraw at will, saves them getting nicked or if you're feeling generous you could always donate your ackers to those less fortunate (like me!!! ;) to feed and look after my pet).

Yes you can he won't starve and he won't get cold, there are plenty of uncollected bin bags out there to keep him going.

But before the ackers changed I could afford it.

Can't now - I am sure Spike won't last much longer. As soon as I can save up enough I'll have to put him up for adoption :( , then wait until I can afford to keep a pet going

Roy 21-06-2005 18:44

Re: Banking

But vorlon, the relationship between the price of pet consumables pre revolution and post revolution are the same. The cost has not risen.
The bank just got wise and moved to a more normal interest rate! You get paid to post, if you don't post enough to look after your pet then you will have to post some more - thats the whole point of the petz system - to get more posts at accyweb..... Remember, we need 500,000 to make it to big board status :)

staggeringman 21-06-2005 18:56

Re: Banking

Theres 21 petz in the adoption centre at the moment and they all look healthy how much is it to shove another in?

I understand that Roy, but I have had a look in on the board over the past few days and (apart from the events at Indianapolis) haven't found much to reply/post about.

And at weekends I am not normally around anyway - that's when most of the damage is done!

Margaret Pilkington 21-06-2005 19:58

Re: Banking

I know that we get roughly the same for our posts.......but we don't accrue the same interest. I got my pet prior to the revolution and it was much easier to maintain him then.
I post as much as I can, but can't seem to bank much these days.......this is not a whinge Roy......just a factual observation.

The interest rate has gone down dramatically......when I first joined it was 7% a day.......then it went down to 3% a day (and I could handle that) but now it is only 1% a week. It isn't as if we could shop around and take our money elsewhere to get a better rate.........and I am too prudent to gamble........with my luck if I gambled on the sun coming up tomorrow, the light would blow out in the night.

My dear Paul, being somewhat vertically challenged myself I understand the pain such remarks can cause however, the fact of the matter is that:-

I'M TALLER THAN YOU ARE,
I'M TALLER THAN YOU ARE,
NEH, NEH, NE, NEH, NEH!

So let's face it I've got to take advantage of some-one!

harwood red 22-06-2005 12:37

Re: Banking

that means my time on accy web will be to defend myself and get on big boards too!!

Roy 22-06-2005 12:45

Re: Banking

okeydokey, the budget has just been announced and there has been an increase of 1 acker per post(from 3 to 4) and 2(from 10 to 12) ackers per new thread. Ackers per referral has doubled from 100 to 200. You claim referral ackers by getting other people to register and putting your username in the referral box - be warned, mad moderator mick keeps an eye on all registrations and should you be found cheating the referral system then who knows what he will do... :)
(rumour has it that fatpie is now indeed within a pie, be warned ;))

harwood red 22-06-2005 12:47

Re: Banking

didn't realise about the referral ackers, damn I missed out on 400 ackers there!!! :(

Re: Banking

i dont have a pet,but if anyone is in nead i will cough a few ackers up ....just ask...

Steph 22-06-2005 13:54

Re: Banking

Thats a really nice thing to say. The petz are really hard to keep and i totally understand people saying they're struggling to afford.

Re: Banking

Thank you Roy!

That'll help a bit - time to start saving to see if I can rescue Spike some time

I've missed out on well over a 1000 ackers, I just thought I'd be helping the site get a few more members to stuff Hyndburn Life out of sight which I think we have done.

LONG LIVE ACCYWEB

harwood red 22-06-2005 22:30

Re: Banking

I know what you mean bagpuss, you tell people about it but you're not necessarily there when they are registering as it's usually private stuff, password and all that so never new about referral. DO NOW THOUGH!!!

staggeringman 23-06-2005 00:02

Re: Banking

but you might have told too many too soon....lol

Roy 23-06-2005 05:51

Re: Banking

OK, if you go to your usercp you will now see that each of you have a referral url that you can give out to people. If they come to us using this URL then they don't even have to fill in your username as the system will know who sent them...and will automatically reward you :)

lettie 23-06-2005 07:11

Re: Banking

I think that many of us struggle because it is harder to save up. The interest rate is so much lower than it used to be and we lost our savings during the change over. Thanks for increasing the ackers a bit though. It should make it a little easier to feed the petz..:D

harwood red 23-06-2005 13:18

Re: Banking

Roy, when I click on that url it doesn't go anywhere!! Am I meant to click on it or just give it to others
