Devolution Officer

This weeks Observer makes mention of HBC`s Devolution Officer, whats that then?? can anyone supply a job description or is it another misprint and should say Devaluation Officer? or is it someone who`s quite keen on Devo, cos I might apply for that myself if it ever comes up!

I haven't read the article yet but would it have something to do with wasting more of our hard earned cash?

Instead of just taking the mick out of people/job positions you know nothing about why don't you phone the council and ask them. You could then bring usefull information to the forum and enlighten those that don't know what her position is all about.

Yep, I saw that small article, it was in connection with a fun day in rhyddings park, brass band and outdoor cinema. Does devolution in this case not mean more power to the area councils?

Re: Devolution Officer

wouldnt somone actualy have to answer the telephone at the council t be able to speak to them

reception is easy enough to get through to but once they transfer you it becomes a lottery as to if anyone will answer the phone or that if somone does you are put through to the right department lol

Thought HBC were now on this "one stop shop" call centre...........based in lets guess, where you get the series of options, if it's this press 1, if it's that press 2 and so on, then at the end of it all you get the message "I'm sorry all our opertaors are busy", please hold....."we value your call" or call back later :D
