Hotels 'cash in' on bomb attacks

Hotels 'cash in' on bomb attacks

No doubt as the days go by we will hear of many peoples self sacrifice for their fellow man during the terrorist outrage, but if the above link is to be believed then I am glad that our Police, Ambulance and Firemen (and the transport staff), are made of better stuff than those greedy so & so's that it seems within 2 hours of the attacks had hiked up their prices.

Lets hope the places that did take advantage of the situation are named and shamed so that ordinary folk that go to London for whatever reason can avoid them.

The hotels which hiked up their prices yesterday should indeed be named and shamed. It was a despicable thing to do. It amounts to nothing short of robbery. If there is no law against it there should be. Looters are imprisoned so why not hoteliers. I hope they go bust.

agree entirely less- what i would say is ive stayed at lots of differant hotels in london, the smaller ones, and not one of them was british owned, maybe that is where its coming from,it looks a resonable bet to me. agree totally with naming and shaming of these people whoever they are.

There will always be certain people who will endeavour to cash in on the misery of others. These people should be named and their establishments boycotted. I remember a similar situation during the petrol crisis when some garages hiked up the price of their petrol. There was a garage on the North West news which had to close a couple of months after because people refused to fill up there due to the staggering rise in petrol price during the crisis. What goes around, comes around...

I'm surprised that people are surprised at this? Still it will always be over shadowed by the sacrifice selfless actions made by others who do care about there fallow man. Lettie I totally agree with you sentiments.

Oh yes lets have them named and boycot them. I'm disgusted at such behaviour.

At one time during a crisis hotels in this country would have opened their doors to stranded people free of charge. What has happened to the British way of life?

I think and hope that people should actually name the hotels were this happened.

I for one will happily call or email my thoughts to them.

Nothing happened to the British way of life, Willow. It's been multicultural since Roman Times. It’s just that the British are no longer in control. I would be interested to hear how many of these Hotels are owed by Brits?

Totally disgusting, they should be named and shamed then boycotted. Some people are so greedy they will do anything for money.

Name em and shame em and as to the British way of life the spirit is still there.I saw an old guy on the tele being interviewed and he said the Germans could not do it back then and these terrorists will not suppress them either

Hadn't seen this thread when I posted on Cashman's. It is true, and it is despicable.
