Time to give Something back to the Comunity
 

The thread on vandalism has insenced me. Why should the schoolkids suffer at the hands of mindless morons? Time for Accy Web to spring into action. I bet that the good membership of Accy Web has a person for almost every conceivable job. Gayle Knight is going to speak to the headmaster on Monday re the damage done at the school. I'm asking for volunteers from the membership to give the school, (subject to headmasters consent, a few hours one weekend) I will scrounge what I can, and I am sure all of you good people will too. If it costs me a bob or two, well what the hell, afew less beers, (I don't think), but we with all your help will re-vamp what the vandals ruined. And our local "leader " is not having his name on it . It will be purley voluntary and for the good of the kids. Want to help on a date yet to be arranged, no matter what you can do even sweeping up. Let me know as soon as you can .Ian

With you on this one Fireman let me have as much warning as you can and I’ll be there on the day. I’m more than happy to put in a donation towards materials. Might I suggest a little word with Woodscape at Church, Homebase and the local Garden centre?

Thanks willow and cashman your on my list. Doesn't matter Willow what physical things you can do, a bit of scrounging, some ideas, everything helps anbd it is important that this is a joint effort for the kids. Cheers Ian.

Thank you all for the offer, it's really good of you. I spoke to the headmaster earlier today and he said that the bench had already been replaced by a parent and that as it was the end of the term he was going to leave the rest of the area until autumn to sort out. So we don't need to mobilise the troups yet.

They are being targeted a bit at the moment though because there was grafitti on the walls which had appeared over the weekend. He got the caretaker to clean it off straight away.
